Reebok Speed Pac 2.5lbs – 12.5lbs Adjustable Dumbbell Pair Review
Reebok is of course a well known company in the sports and exercise field - however not one which is traditionally associated with the production of dumbbell sets. Indeed, the company is a relatively new entrant to the adjustable dumbbell space - and it was therefore very interesting to be able to review their lower weight range product - the Reebok Speed Pac Dumbbell Pair Review.

We've taken the time to identify all of the positives and negatives associated with this product, and our findings are included below.
Things We Like About Reebok Speed Pac 2.5lbs - 12.5lbs Set
Whilst this pair of dumbbells certainly won't blow you out of the water with exciting new features and sophistication - you will get all of the necessary bases covered. The weight range of this set is probably the lowest on the market - with one of the narrowest margins that we have seen at only 10lbs in total. With 2.5lbs increments, this allows for 5 different combinations.
Comfort was clearly a big focus for Reebok, as they have incorporated cushioned hand grips in to their design. This prevents "sore hand syndrome" as we like to call it - basically the feeling of pain after lifting the pure metal handles of dumbbells without any type of grip cover.
Another feature we liked is the compact storage tray, which is color coded and allows you to easily transport both dumbbells at the same time. This is an important factor, because throwing your dumbbells in the cupboard and then piling other items on top of them is probably not the most successful strategy for storing your dumbbells. The Reebok adjustable dumbbells get bonus points in this regard.
Things We Didn't Like About Reebok Speed Pac 2.5lbs - 12.5lbs Set
To be honest, there weren't too many things that we could find wrong with the Reebok dumbbell set. Whilst everything was acceptable - the design, comfort, and overall results - we weren't totally blown away by the product.
Whilst we only spent a limited amount of time experimenting with the Reebok Speed Pac Adjustable Dumbbell set, other consumers who have purchased the product and use it each and every day have provided us with valuable feedback regarding their longer term view of the system.
A number of people commented on the use of "plastic-like material" to hold the weight bars on to the dumbbell handles themselves. Unfortunately this is a huge let down for Reebok. Having tried out many products in our time, plastic is simply a material which should be avoided when weights and torque are involved. We would hope that if Reebok is serious about producing dumbbells in the future and beefing themselves up to become a top competitor - they would change their manufacturing processes and product design to ensure that plastic is completely eliminated.
